Before you apply
Can I use an International Driving Permit in China?
No. An IDP is not valid on its own in mainland China. Eligible visitors normally need a Chinese temporary driving permit.
Can everything be completed online?
We can pre-check information online. Final verification and issue follow the local authority's process and may require an in-person visit.
How quickly will the permit be issued?
Some offices may issue it after an on-site review when documents are complete, but timing varies. We confirm the current city process rather than promise a fixed time.
Will the permit let me drive every RV?
No. The authorised category on the permit must match the exact campervan registration. We check this before confirming a rental.
